We are thrilled to share the success of our recent bicycle helmet giveaway event! Held on June 29 at the West Bloomington Revitalization Project, this event was a fantastic opportunity to promote safety and fun among our community’s children.

Our team had a lot of fun interacting with the kids and teaching them about the importance of wearing a bicycle helmet. Kelly, one of our team members and an avid cyclist, along with Carly Davis from Bloomington Cycle and Fitness, showed kids how to properly fit and adjust their helmets for maximum protection.

In partnership with the West Bloomington Revitalization Project , we distributed dozens of free bicycle helmets to children on the west side of Bloomington with plans to distribute the rest of the helmets to local organization throughout the year. This event was more than just a giveaway; it was an educational experience where kids learned essential safety tips and the importance of helmets!

The highlight of the day was seeing the joy on the children’s faces as they received their new helmets and learned how to use them correctly. We also held a bicycle giveaway, courtesy of the West Bloomington Revitalization Project, where two lucky children took home bikes from their bike co-op inventory.

We are excited to continue this partnership with the West Bloomington Revitalization Project and Bloomington Cycle and Fitness. Our goal is to make this an annual event, further promoting safety and outdoor activities for our community’s youngest members.

We look forward to seeing you all next year for another day of fun, safety, and community spirit!
