Giving Back: Onward Injury Law Donates to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

At Onward Injury Law, we’re passionate about making a difference in our community. As personal injury lawyers, we understand the importance of supporting local initiatives that improve the lives of those around us.

We’re proud to have recently donated to United Way of McLean County (UWMC) and Women United to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

By providing free books to children from birth to age five, this program promotes early childhood literacy and instills a love of reading in the next generation. This is a critical step toward building a better future for our community, and we’re honored to have played a part in making it happen.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a program that provides free books to children from birth to age five. The program is designed to promote literacy from an early age. Dolly Parton started the program in 1995 in her home county of Sevier County, Tennessee.

Since then, the program has grown to serve children in all 50 states and several countries around the world. To date, the project has distributed over 150 million books. In McLean County, approximately 1,500 children are already enrolled in the program, and our donation will help expand its reach.

Making a Difference, One Book at a Time

The impact of this donation cannot be overstated. Pat Grosso, Coordinator for Women United and the local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, expressed her gratitude, stating that “$5,000 will provide at least 200 children from birth to their fifth birthday one free book per month for a year and help to instill a love of reading before they graduate to kindergarten.”

At Onward Injury Law, we’re glad to participate in Dolly Parton’s mission to promote education. By supporting local initiatives like the Imagination Library, we hope to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families in McLean County.
